Japanese Food Festival - Avari Towers
If you're a sucker for sake and sushi and get ravenous at the very mention of it, you are definitely not going to want to miss the Japanese Food Festival.
Only recently Avari Towers Karachi has launched a new menu at their Japanese Restaurant - Fujiyama. The inauguration of the festival was done by Mr. & Mrs. Toshikazu Isomura, Consul-General of Japan along with Mr. Katsunori Ashida, Deputy Consul-General of Japan and Mr. Grant Raubenheimer VP Operation Avari Hotels.
Let's talk about food now! It was a buffet with live cooking stations and also some ready to eat items. Not only will these live cooking stations excite your taste buds with the freshest and top-quality ingredients, but it will also make your dinner an extraordinary experience. Fresh ingredients and the finest quality, you get an extensive menu choice.
There was a separate sushi bar that looked too pretty to eat. Without a doubt, sushi is one of Japan's greatest gastronomical gifts to the world. Almost poetic in its simplicity, good sushi relies on two things: the freshness of the ingredients and the knife skills of the chef.
And then finaly comes dessert. Apart from the usuals, totally loved the chocolate fountain. Also a huge range of delicious ice cream and I went for match ice which is a green tea ice cream and my personal favourite.
In the end we were served Jasmine tea, a perfect touch to end such an amazing food experience. If you're a Japanese food lover, I'd urge to pay Fujiyama a visit and you won't be disappointed!
Steak Night!
A hearty roast dinner has its charms, of course, and a good steak is, I think, one of the purest carnivorous pleasures available. I am a huge steak lover so you can imagine how happy I must have been when I got a call from Avari Towres Karachi to try their steak and trust me, it was a palette-tingling adventure!
Jashan-e-Azadi Food Festival
Avari Towers celebrated Independence in style where you could feast on a range of mouth-watering, delectable dishes. Starting from the 10th of August, the hotel organized a five-day Jashan-e-Azadi Food Festival to celebrate the 71st Independence Day of the country with enthusiasm and great zeal.
The event offered a huge food variety where you could taste the delicacies from all the provinces of Pakistan. My taste buds had been craving authentic desi food and Jashan-e-Azadi Food Festival at Avari Towers seemed perfect to satisfy them. Biryani, Kkarhai, Kata-Kat, Seafood, BBQ you name it they had it. Lassi served in a matti ka piyala was my favourite desi touch. Chapli Kebab, Kabli Pulao and Mutton Charsi Tikka with Kashmiri Chai served after the meal.
The beauty of Jashan-e-Azadi Food Festival was the visitors were be able to enjoy not just Pakistani cuisine but also the culture more closely at one platform.
Fujiyama - Avari Towers
If you are a Japanese food enthusiast and have yet to try Fujiyama, you are in for quite a treat! Fujiyama at Avari Towers is more than a style of dining; it is an experience! The best Japanese restaurant in the city serving fresh seafood and authentic Japanese dishes. I recently got to try a whole range of maki at Fujiyama and so here's my review.
Mediterranean Tapas at Avari Towers
Back with another food festival review at Avari Towers and this time it's Mediterranean Tapas! A tapa, in Spanish cuisine, is basically an appetizer or a snack. So the festival had hot and cold food items displayed on the buffet in small portions and one can enjoy individually displayed food miniatures according to their desire.
