MAKI ALL YOU CAN

Fujiyama - Avari Towers

If you are a Japanese food enthusiast and have yet to try Fujiyama, you are in for quite a treat! Fujiyama at Avari Towers is more than a style of dining; it is an experience! The best Japanese restaurant in the city serving fresh seafood and authentic Japanese dishes. I recently got to try a whole range of maki at Fujiyama and so here's my review.

Maki is one of the most common types of sushi, and it's known by its outer layer of dried green nori seaweed. If you are a beginner, maki is the best starting point for first-time sushi rollers.

Avari has a great view. The restaurant is quite beautiful and if you decide to sit by the window, you can view Karachi from top which looks amazing!

Coming to the menu, we had a wide variety to choose from but the chef was kind enough to serve us everything. So we had Chicken Maki, Beef Maki, Prawn Maki, Crab Maki, Salmon Maki, Tuna Maki, Mexican Maki and Seaweed Maki.

The meal consists of 6 pieces served at a time. My favorite was Crab Maki. If you're trying it for the first time, go for Chicken Maki because it's less daunting and the safest option. Beef Maki had crispy beef inside. If you're a chili lover then Mexican Maki is definitely for you!

Some of the Maki had spicy Japanese mayo in the filling that added the perfect touch. Green tea was served through out the meals. The chef (straight from Japan) told us that we were served fresh prawns in prawn maki which I think is great because nothing can beat fresh seafood! He said he believes seafood should always be eaten fresh especially when it comes to sushi.

Fujiyama is 2500 plus tax. If you want to try some authentic maki, then you must visit!
