French Food Festival

My readers must now be familiar with the food festivals Avari Towers Karachi holds almost every month. This time it is French Food Festival's experience that I'd be sharing with you guys.

This was the second French Food Festival that I attended at Asia Live. What was different this time from the last French Food Festival was they had a salad bar with a huge variety of salads and other appetizers and a buffet dessert.

The salad bar was ah-mazing! Loved the Tourte Pasqualine aux Legumes (Vegetable Pie), Quiche aux Epinrds (Spinaches Quiche) and Corque Monsieur (Sandwiches). I literally stuffed my face with these three. Tried Verrines de Poivrons for the first time which is basically vegetable puree and I really liked it! Very unique taste for me but my taste buds enjoyed it.

Another interesting bit is the bread and cheese section that I noticed is there in almost all food festivals now.

 Traditional French Onion Cream Soup

Lobster Bisque

In soups, I had to choose between Lobster Bisque and Traditional French Onion Cream Soup. I ordered Bisque because it's my ultimate favourite. For those of you who don't know, Bisque is a smooth, creamy, highly seasoned soup of French origin. The soup had a really nice aroma and the lobster chunks were a plus. Sea food lovers would definitely love it!

Main course was a la carte and so I ordered Herb Crusted Lamb Rack with Nicoise Ratatouille. I was served with a visually appealing platter with a generous portion. I was a bit skeptical because Lamb if cooked wrong can be a disaster but at the very first bite I fell in love with the dish.

The juicy acidity and rustic herbaceousness of the succulent lamb, savory juices flowing in my mouth in every bite it was a perfect night meal. The fat around the lamb was tasty and succulent. Nicoise Ratatouille is served as a side dish which is basically stew with lots of vegetables.

The dessert bar had lots to offer. From fruits to tarts to chocolate the desserts were just delicious and would satisfy anyone's sweet tooth.

The French Food Festival is on till the 2nd of April at Asia Live. If you're in search of a fine dinning experience and authentic French food, this festival is not to be missed!
