Beauty Bloggers Meet-up

Scentsation has made it easier for beauty and makeup addicts like to me to easily get our favourite international brands that were not available in Pakistan. At least not the genuine ones. Just recently I was invited to a beauty bloggers meetup organized by Scentsation in Karachi.

Lancome is a French luxury perfumes and cosmetics house and is part of the L'Oreal Luxury Products division, which is its parent company and offers skin care, fragrances, and makeup at higher-end prices.

Founded in 1935 by Armand Petitjean in France, as a fragrance house originally, only a year later the Lancome skin care line was launched with the introduction of a skin repair cream. As the company continued to grow, so did the Lancome skin care line; eventually expanding into body cleansing gels, Lancome eye creams, and a variety of anti wrinkle creams.

Lancome is THE brand of women. Today more than ever, ultra-femininity, emotion, joie-de-vivre, happiness and beauty are at the very heart of Lancome's DNA. A spirit that asserts itself through the most beautiful, the most optimistic mission: that every woman who come to Lancome to be more beautiful, always leave happier. Lancome is all about positive beauty.

Fellow blogger Sundus was given a makeover with Lancome makeup products which was an everyday look.

Their most famous products include their mascara Hypnose, their Visionnaire Range which is aimed to improve skin texture qualities, especially in pore reduction, fine lines and uneven skin tone. Lancome has recently released a new serum called Dreamtone, which claims to improve on colour irregularities including sun spots and blemish marks. The serum is available in three colour integrals, fair, medium and dark to match individual skin tones.

Lancome's best-sellers are: For skincare: Visionnaire, Génifique, Absolue, Rénergie, Blanc expert, UV Expert; For make-up: Hypnôse star, Hypnôse Doll Eyes, Hypnôse, L’Absolu Rouge, Rouge in Love, Teint Miracle, Teint Idole Ultra 24h; For fragrance: La vie est belle, Trésor, Ô, Hypnôse.

Yves Saint Laurent Beauté is the makeup, fragrance and skincare signature of the most subversive Parisian couture brand.

Fragrance: the Yves Saint Laurent history of fragrances is punctuated by successes. Ever since the 1964 creation of « Y », more than 50 years ago, YSL Beauté has produced true olfactory sociological markers.

A societal dimension perfectly illustrated by the image of Monsieur Yves Saint Laurent posing nude for the launch of his first men's fragrance, Pour Homme, in 1971. Today, many fragrances of the brand have become must-have references both for men, with L'Homme, La Nuit de l'Homme and women, with Opium, Black Opium, Manifesto and Paris.

Makeup offers the highest technology at the heart of a precious case, under the inspiration of Lloyd Simmonds, Creative Director Makeup. The YSL Beauté makeup icons include Touche Éclat, Mascara Volume Effet Faux Cils, Rouge Pur Couture and Rouge Pur Couture Vernis à Lèvres glossy stain . All hold leading positions in the market of main countries where the brand is marketed.

I was given a makeover using the YSL makeup products. It was more of a night look that I absolutely loved.

I got crazy with Rabeeya =P

The meetup was followed by lunch at Hakka Chine. Overall, it was a great event; enjoyed myself a lot! =)
