DIY SUGAR SCRUBS

DIY Sugar Scrubs:

It is that time of the year again. That’s right – dry skin season is upon us! Itchy and rough patches make this season unbearable. So I decided to share a few DIY sugar scrubs that’d help keep your skin soft and smooth this winter season.

Sugar scrubs are one of the easiest home remedies and their result is amazing. They repair dry skin and leave skin soft, healthy and glowing. Sugar acts like a gentle exfoliater and gets rid of all the dead skin cells.

LEMON SUGAR SCRUB:

Mix all ingredients together and gently scrub your face and neck. Do not go overboard as less is more with face exfoliating. Coconut is anti bacterial and lemon has bleaching properties. This scrub will leave your skin soft and glowing.

COFFEE SUGAR SCRUB:

Mix  coffee, sugar and coconut oil in a bowl. After mixed add the ground cinnamon. (Note: If mixture looks too watery, add more sugar and/or coffee.) Once you have your desired exfoliant level, place all product into a mason jar. Bathe with this scrub for a soft and smooth skin. It also helps fade stretch marks, and tightens the skin.

OATMEAL SUGAR SCRUB:

Combine all the ingredients above. Put into an air tight jar or mason jar and store in a cool dry place. Bathe this with scrub and it will leave your skin soft and smooth.

PEPPERMINT SUGAR FOOT SOAK:

Combine Epsom salts, sea salt, oil, and baking soda. Add 2 drops of red food colouring to the mixture for a crushed peppermint candy look. Break apart any red clumps until evenly distributed. Put mixture into a clean canning jar. Add a tbsp of this mixture in a tub of luke warm water and soak feet for 15 minutes. Epsom salt improves circulation. This scrub leaves feet baby soft and relaxed!

Happy Winters! :)
