Telenor Fahion Pakistan Week 2015 - Day 3 and Day 4

Day 3:
Designers: Body Focus Museum, Levis, Somal Halepoto, YBQ, Wardha Saleem, Sania Maskatiya for Al-Karam, Inaaya and HSY

Iman Ahmed kicked off the show with "Body Focus Museum". "Sartorial Philology and the New Nomad" her collection was amazing! Starting with some beautiful white outfits, her collection also featured tribal colours accentuated by typical tribal make-up and chunky jewellery. The audience witnessed a wide variety of fabrics.

Levi's collection styled by Ayaz Anis and Rana Khan featured white pants, knotted tops and summery t-shirts. The audience cheered for Wasim Akram as he walked the ramp as their showstopper. Dressed in white shirt and blue jeans, he looked elegant.

Next was Somal Halepoto's Just Glam collection that featured a beautiful mishmash of animal prints, exquisite fabrics and intricate techniques. Her collection was a composition of color glamour and glitz.

Yousuf Bashir Qureshi paid tribute to the three Sufis of Sindh, Lal Shahbaz Qalandar, Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai and Sachal Sarmast with "Lal Shah Mast". Tho a different category, his collection depicted different human emotions in terms of colours. He used only three colours, red(rage), white(peace) and black(mourn). Sufi music playing, models wearing gowns with white lowers, black turbans and holding flags on poles, draped with prayer beads, it was quite a show. HSY, who also choreographed the dramatic presentation, was YBQ's showstopper and captivated the audience.

Wardha Saleem opened the second half after a break with her collection "The Lotus Song" inspired by flora and fauna. Summery pastel colour palette, she used flamingo prints and embroidery and the detailing on the outfits was just fab. Her collection was a variety of draped dresses, jackets, saris, capes. Also, the 3D flower shoes kept everyone's attention. The music and jewellery for her collection was provided by Tapu Javeri.

Sania Maskatiya, who presented her luxury pret on Day 1, got on board with AlKaram. Now, it is hard to impress people with a lawn collection on ramp but with the use of fast music (I absolutely loved it and even the models were smiling and enjoying) and trendy cuts, Sania did the job quite well!

Noshaba Brohi was next with her brand "Inaaya", an ode to resilience; to flourish and succeed despite adversity. Her collection was all about traditional Sindhi crafts in contemporary wear. Touches of rilli and some mirror work were featured in her collection.

Inaaya's showstopper was Mashal Chaudri along with Naushaba's daughter Inaaya. She held up a placard that said "I teach therefore I can" while Inaaya wore a T-Shirt with the slogan "super role model".

HSY closed day 3 with his "Hi-Octance" menswear collection. Hira Tareen live DJ-ing on the ramp, the models kept moving along the catwalk, pausing briefly on their second round. Suits, jackets, polka dot shirts and ties, the collection was classy and presented creatively.

DAY 4:
Designers: Sonya Battla, Rizwanullah for Fifth Element Swarovski, Daaman, Zara Shahjahan, Deepak Perwani, Aamna Aqeel and Shamaeel Ansari

Show started with Sonya Battla's "Manora", an eclectic mix of casuals and formals in collaboration with artist Naizah Khan. Her collection was all about digital prints, braided ropes, earthy tones and edgy cuts with a colour palette mainly of sand brown and green.

Next was Rizwanullah collaborating with Fifth Element, showcasing "The Age of Elegance for Swarovski". White themed dresses without embellishment just to accentuate the jewellery, he wonderfully pulled it off!

Daaman by Maliha Chaudri consisted of jumpsuits, jackets and some lacy tops. Her collection mainly comprised of navy blue and white colour palette.

Zara Shahjahan's "Forever Boho" collection was a union of hand painted florals and tribal accents, an ode to free spirited fashion! Crop tops paired with skirts, her collection had a fresh spring-like feel. Absolutely loved it!

Deepak Perwani’s La Dolce Vita was another spring-like feel collection but a little luxurious. Maxi dresses, digitally printed jumpsuits, printed jackets and skirts, the outfits were vibrant and jewelled beading.

Pooja Bhatt and Ali Azmat were the show stoppers and were met with a huge applause from the audience.

Aamna Aqeel's "Romancing The Lines" consisted of capris, cigarette pants and chiffon jackets. She mostly used ivory and subtle pink as the colour palette.

Shamaeel Ansari's "The Renaissance" closed Day 4. With a colour palette of maroon and gold, her collection consisted of stunning embellishments and opulent embroideries. A gorgeous collection to end the fashion week.

And that's a wrap!
