OLPER'S MEHERBAAN
14:02Sharing is Caring!
This month long food drive campaign was all about sharing your iftaar with people with limited means. Through the touching TVC, 'har bayjaan table ki jaan' was the message conveyed to all those who are a bit fortunate and wanted to take part in this beautiful cause by sharing something as little as food to the underpriviledge table.
The weather situation during this Ramzan, especially the initial rozas, was horrible but Olper's milk volunteers worked extremely hard on ground in various areas on a daily basis. Collection hubs were set up in three major cities Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi. The team would collect iftaar from an area and then distribute door to door to the less priviledge in that surrounding while fasting themselves.
Social platforms like Facebook and Twitter were used to spread the word. A new location was announced everyday through Facebook so that people of that area could contribute and participate in this iftaar sharing drive. And no doubt, the generosity level of our people is just unbelievable. It was so good to see people of my country helping the less priviledge people of my country that too in this blessed month.. I can't explain the feeling!
By the grace of the Almighty and with the help of people who contributed and shared their iftaar meals (stats say 24,633 households), Olper's milk team was able to reach out to almost 25000 tables which is just amazing. And it's really not just about food, the happiness and smiles that spread on the peoples' faces through this campaign, that's all that matters. Making someone happy is all that matters.
May Allah keep this spirit of humanity alive in us all around the year and we stay. Be generous! Be meherbaan!
