Review:
Hi lovelies! Hope you're all doing good. Well today I am going to talk about a product I haven't really seen anyone talk about. I don't know if you guys saw our very own and very pretty Nadia Hussain's live make-up video that she did while getting ready for Hum Tv Awards. She is the first person I saw using this and that's how I got to know about this product. So I decided to give it a try. I have now used it for over 2 months and I think it's time I review it for you guys.
Diana of London Face Illuminator Make Up Base comes in a plastic bottle with a screw on lid. The bottle is small and sturdy. Dispensing the product is very easy as you just have to squeeze the bottle so you can easily control how much product you want to use.
It's more like a shimmery translucent liquid that is definitely water based as the consistency is a tad runny but has a smooth texture. It has a mild beautiful fragrance that doesn't linger. Gets absorbed into skin within seconds and you don't have to put in too much effort to blend it. The shimmer in it isn't chunky at all and gives a beautiful glow. Although at first glance you might think that's a lot of shimmer but set it with powder and all you're left with is a radiant beautiful skin.
I dab a few dots on my face and blend it with my fingers and in an instant my face looks luminous. I have used it with foundation and without foundation and my skin looks gorgeous both ways. You can also mix it with your foundation or use it over foundation for added highlighting. A small amount is enough to cover your entire face and neck.
Overall, I am in love with this illuminator. It makes my skin appear so glowy and radiant. The make-up base is white (somewhat silverish due to shimmer) in colour but doesn't leave a white cast at all. Not even visible in photos. Best part is the UV filters. You only need a small amount so little goes a long way.
Pros:
Oil free.
Easy to blend.
Smooth texture.
Simmer looks beautiful.
UV filters.
Travel-friendly.
Cons:
You find it too shimmery.
It doesn't work for you.
My Rating:
4.5/5
Diana of London Face Illuminator Make-up Base is available for PKR 1595 at all leading drugstores nationwide.
